Alpha Gal Syndrome
Alpha-Gal is a condition caused by the bite of the Lone Star tick. The condition consists of severe allergic reactions to red meat and other mammalian products. There are no treatments other than avoiding red meat and other products made from mammals. This can be a problem for patients when their medications contain gelatin, lactose, or other mammalian products. Here at Custom Compounding Center, we can help formulate dye, gluten, and gelatin-free formulations to help manage Alpha Gal Syndrome and prevent reactions.
